Miss Patti Johnson Coe is Music Director at FUMC Lake Alfred. She served as Music Director from 1980-May, 2000 and returned as Music Director in January, 2011. Patti was born and raised in Lake Alfred, Florida. Her grandmother, Ula Johnson, served as  the first organist in the church, so family ties run deep within the musical aspects of FUMC. Patti will gladly tell you that her greatest accomplishments in life are her three children, Michael, a teacher and head football coach; Ryan, an accountant for Tampa Electric Company and Erin, who is also a teacher. In her spare time, Patti enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Patti's passion is serving and praising God through music, and she feels privileged to be part of such a Christ centered congregation here at FUMC!  We are blessed to have her on our excellent ministry team.

Quincy Adam Cooper is our Children's Ministry Director.  He is our 20 year old college student who is studying at Polk State College.  He graduated from Auburndale High School in June 2015.  Quincy loves working with the kids!!  He has attended First United Methodist Church of Lake Alfred for five years now and he says, "I can honestly say this church is my second home."  Quincy grew up in Winter Haven, FL with his mom, Pam Cooper and siblings, Wilbur Jr. and Jasmine.  Quincy says he "truly cherishes his years growing up with great parents and siblings."  Riding in the semi with his dad, Wilbur Cooper, Sr., are memories that he says "will last a lifetime."  He believes that family is definitely a gift from God and that without them life would be hard to tackle.  Quincy is extremely excited to be able to work with the great children at FUMC of Lake Alfred.  He plans to teach them about God and help the Children's ministry grow spiritually and in numbers.  We are grateful to have Quincy with us!!
